French Toast Bake

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar

  • 1 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

  • 3 eggs

  • 10 1” slices bread of your choice (I used challah, but brioche, croissants, white bread, etc. would all work)

Directions:

  1. Whisk together the butter, vanilla, cinnamon, sugars, milk, and eggs.

  2. Fully submerge each slice of bread into the liquid mixture and ensure that the bread is fully soaked. Arrange soaked bread in 8x8 baking dish.

  3. Pour the leftover mixture over the slices of bread and let this mixture marinate overnight. (If you’re in a time crunch, a few hours work instead, but overnight really maximizes the flavor & texture)

  4. The next morning, ensure that each piece is soaked in mixture, moving around pieces if needed.

  5. Bake at 375º for 30 minutes.

  6. Plate and enjoy 😊
