Matzo Crack
Ingredients:
2 sticks of unsalted butter
1 cup light brown sugar
Matzo (about 4-5 standard sheets)
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Toppings of choice
Ideas: drizzled white chocolate, toffee bits, sprinkles, flaky sea salt, melty peanut butter, etc.
Recipe:
Preheat oven to 350ºF and line a 12x17 baking sheet with parchment paper and spray with non-stick spray
Line baking sheet with 1 layer of matzo (breaking sheets as necessary)
Melt down butter and brown sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stir until a golden caramel forms (2-4 minutes)
Pour brown sugar mixture over the matzos & bake for 7 minutes
Remove from the oven and spread chocolate chips evenly over the caramel. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes
Spread chocolate with an offset spatula, top with desired treats
Set in the freezer for 20 minutes (or until chocolate has solidified)
Break into pieces (or keep whole!)
